A Brief Introduction To Lynne
Hancher
A
Little About Me...
Let
me introduce myself to you. My name is Lynne Hancher, a qualified
Hypnotherapist
and Complementary Therapist, both a Practitioner and an Instructor
in a variety of complementary therapies - an area which I find
both fascinating and rewarding. However, I was not always a full-time
complementary therapist.
I
am also a mother and a wife. Previously I was a Personal Assistant,
having many responsibilities including personnel and training.
I had a busy working life and a family to look after, but I found
time to tutor in adult education and run a part-time complementary
therapy practice - I enjoy being "busy".
When
I was made redundant in 1999, I decided to change career and
follow my interest in complementary therapy full-time. Having
personally seen the stresses of modern day life, I thought it
was time to help people from all walks of life achieve a healthier
lifestyle. Knowing how difficult it is to find "time" to
look after oneself, I also undertake corporate programmes, taking "therapies" into
the workplace to fit around lunch breaks etc. and, although this
is fairly common in the South, it is still a new thing here in
the Midlands.
As
well as my practice, I also tutor in complementary therapies
so that people can learn how to help themselves. Additionally,
I undertake corporate training in a wide variety of subjects.
My "dream" is to see
complementary therapies working alongside orthodox medicine.
Gradually the NHS is recognising some of the therapies and I
would love to see CAM in doctors' surgeries allowing patients
to become less stressful and at the same time easing the workload
for our busy GPs.
